The Palestinian participation in the UNESCO conference for Teacher’s International Day was very effective I have participated with an initiative titled: “Drama is an effective method in dealing with violence” I have been nominated by Elham Palestine and UNESCO and the Developing Teacher’s institution in the Ministry of Education.

Honestly when I saw your ads and your news I thought that the program is only for the West Bank area and that we don’t have a share of it in Gaza but having Ayman Al alkouk as an inspiring initiator through the 1st cycle had a positive impact on me and this year I was surprised that he contacted me as Elham’s coordinator to nominate myself despite the fact I was very hesitant to nominate myself since the 1st cycle and thank God I did and my initiative reached the final evaluation
I hope that you go on with this process to include all parts of the country despite all obstacles and divisions; we are one homeland one heart that beats to elevate our precious homeland

I once was mad at a student surprisingly he started crying and saying that he will kill himself that he will jump the window he said “my dad is driving me crazy” and I found myself jumping on his desk next to the window and holding his hand and saying “your dad is driving you crazy and so is my father lets jump and get rid of this life” with a kind of a serious look on my face so he looked at me for a second and then burst into laughter and pulled his hand slowly mine as if he was saying “I was just kidding n I ended up with a crazy teacher” the whole class went on laughing so did I and to my surprise there were 2 teachers on the door standing and they were also laughing.
When I went home I was trying so hard to remember why was I mad at the student but I couldn’t remember so it was enough for me to remember that me and my student were laughing.
Sometimes the impasse of education leads to frustration and educational suicide I hope we would stop saying “we can’t due to lack of time or .. or .. or”
I expect that Elham Palestine kindly opened for us new horizons of creativity and work and support to be engaged in the educational process and be involved in it. And to be sometimes who draws the lines of its improvement I hope all foundations would support teachers like Elham Palestine did and to look for their abilities and energies so their creativity wont end in a single classroom or a single school

We started with a new program health city and one of its major things is making our schools healthy schools healthy. This program started in Nov/2007 with cooperation of WHO Ministry of Health Ministry of Education the municipality and many other agencies. Elham initiative tries to re-sew the true fabric of the Palestinian people through effective participation that’s based on giving and belonging to Palestine and its people. It’s a role model that’s worthy of studying and giving much care for by all institutions to achieve a qualitative change in the performance of targeted groups especially who work in education and proper up-bringing of children. It is time to give back the teacher and education its place and right.

I am one of those who were honored in the city of Hebron and I would like to thank everyone in Elham Palestine for its such a great initiative and provided a lot of encouragement and a motive for us to move forward in serving our country and the educational process but I think that displaying initiatives in front of the local committee’s should be through the visiting of the local committee to the places of the initiatives within the school so it would be presented clearly because sometimes to display the initiative in front of the committee in a short time wont do it its right

We started with a new program health city and one of its major things is making our schools healthy schools healthy. This program started in Nov/2007 with cooperation of WHO Ministry of Health Ministry of Education the municipality and many other agencies. So I think that we must join together in this issue to come up with healthy students and healthy community.
